The History of Agriculture and Crafts Museum

The collection shows the most significant tools used in the production of grain, vines and wine, complete with images and explanations. The text on the boards links the local tools to the more general history of agriculture showing moments of “great change” from the first agricultural revolution up until contemporary times. The teaching/museum visit includes numerous rooms which house vats, presses and barrels as well as the section dedicated to barrel-making  and the room dedicated to the preservation of food, concluding with the extraordinary ramp by Francesco di Giorgio Martini, from which, in certain places, may be seen the entire front of the ducal palace overlooking the Metauro.

The museum is part of a group of participating museums in other areas which also record local working methods.
